Results of a survey carried out by the Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL) suggests that 88% of leaders said that having a leadership role increases the level of stress. They cited work is a primary source of stress, a lack of resources and time as being the most stressful leadership demands experienced by leaders. The majority of respondents cited physical exercise helps them to manage their stress and almost 90% say they temporarily remove themselves (physically or mentally) from the source. What is interesting is that 80% of respondent’s stated that they would benefit from a coach to help them manage their stress.
